The administration of incumbent Republican Kevin Smith has been a proponent of relocating the CATS terminal to the current Anderson Township Trustee property at the corner of 14th Street and Central Avenue. Democratic candidate Thomas Broderick Jr. is proposing expanding the current terminal by purchasing the property to the south.

Republican Mayor Kevin Smith has proposed converting downtown streets to two way but the idea has so far been blocked by the city council.
