The Paramount Theatre's lower marquee was damaged by high winds in February and the theatre has started a gofundme.com page to raise $50,000 to replace it. The current marquee was built over the original wooden one that dates to 1929. In the nearly 90 years since, the wooden structure has decayed to the point were it needs to be replaced instead of repaired according to the gofundme page.
