Nicole Eicks and Heather Potter add donated items to the Clip Zone Community Closet during an event to celebrate Clip Zone's 20th Anniversary on Thursday. The CZ Community Closet will cater to women facing difficult times in their lives where having a quality, dress up outfit can help, including a court date against an abuser or a job interview, Nicole Eicks said.
“Our goal is to provide women with strength and a full self esteem to see themselves as beautiful and confident,” she said.
The initiative will accept donations of clothes, purses, jewelry and shoes. The closet is the result of a partnership between the salon, which is celebrating 20 years in business, and Community Hospital Anderson.
The event also coincides with the national Week of Giving, which follows Thanksgiving and Black Friday as a way for people to give back to their communities as they purchase gifts for loved ones and friends.
