With the recent heavy rains and then bitter temperatures ponds of standing water turned to ice like this large area in the middle of Athletic Park in Anderson. But James Pierce, 12, and his cousin Gerald Watkins, 17, along with other family members, found the frozen surface a great place on a Christmas afternoon to get outside and slide and play around on.
