Eliot Reed hangs photographs taken along the White River by Brent Hagan in preparation for the "Requiem for the Wapahani" exhibit at Park Place Arts on Thursday. The exhibit opens Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. and includes work from 15 artists in a variety of media. According to the galleries website Wapahani is the Miami word for the White River and the exhibit celebrates the natural beauty and historical heritage of the river that would be lost if it is damned to create a reservoir. You can read more about the show in this Sunday's The Herald Bulletin.
